What I’m Reading…

I think I am like any other reader. I have a TBR that is never-ending. I am also always adding to it. There seems to be a lot of books coming out all the time that interest me or that I see my friends talking about, which makes me want to add more to my list. Truly I don’t think I will ever get through them all, but that doesn’t stop me.

Currently, I’m reading:

This is a plus size romance about Britta a lifestyle website writer who is reviewing and sharing her experience with a body-positive fitness app. She is getting coached by a personal trainer by the name of Wes Lawson, who also happens to be the CEO of the company. Britta of course doesn’t know this and Wes doesn’t know that she is writing a piece on his company.

How am I enjoying it so far? I actually really like it so far. This is the second book I have read from Denise Williams and I have found I really enjoy her writing style. You will be seeing a review of the first book I read from her called How to Fail at Flirting.

This reads very much like a rom-com and so far the banter has been great and I am finding myself smiling a lot. I just hope the good vibes keep rolling.

The second book I am reading at the moment is Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton. If you have been on BookTok, I feel like you would be seeing this cover everywhere. It is a dark romance with a grocery list of trigger warnings, and I mean a HUGE LIST of trigger warnings. I wasn’t even sure if I was going to read this book because some of the subject matter even makes me wiggle in my seat with discomfort. However, I decided to try it seeing as it is on Kindle Unlimited. I also read the novella, Satan’s Affair, before I started this book and I have to say it is a pretty good indicator of the kind of writing Carlton does. It is a good mix of erotica and horror elements. I wouldn’t necessarily say that there is a lot of romance in that novella, but there is definitely a lot of smut.

So far I have been intrigued by the storyline of this book. This is considered what I would call a stalker romance. It’s definitely not a book you would want to read if you want something fluffy. Do I hate it so far? No, but I am curious to see where this goes.

What are you reading??
