This is vacation week!! I am in the Outer Banks this week with family. The reading selections are all over the place and I’m not sure if I will be finishing everything, because I brought a stack with me. However, I have to say that I have some really good books.
I am continuing my reading of the ACOTAR series with A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. Can I just say that it never fails to entertain me. It definitely isn’t high fantasy by any means but it has a cast of characters that keep my attention. I think I am definitely a Cassian and Azriel girl. They seem to have caught my attention and as far as book boyfriends go, they are definitely my type.
I started listening to audiobooks again and first to get me started back on the audiobook train is The Intern by Serena Akeroyd. It is a m/m romance and one of the narrators is one of my favorites. Joe Arden has my audiobook heart, the way he uses his voice to become a character just sends me. I am thoroughly enjoying this one, the banter is really well done. I also think that the two male characters have some SERIOUS chemistry.
I am getting back to my regency romance roots and getting into the pile of ARCs I have with this one. A Reckless Match by Kate Bateman is about rival families and the children who grew up to be rivals and enemies, only to find they are attracted to one another. We love a sassy leading woman who is not about to take the leading man’s shit. This story is no exception and I admit I am very entertained.
