How Lulu Lost Her Mind by Rachel Gibson

I was honored to receive an Advanced Reading Copy of this book from the publisher for review.  As a Jersey girl, I was surprised to once again fall in love with a book labeled Southern Fiction.  The premise of this book is that the main character is a celebrity of sorts.  She is balancing the work of building her brand and career, with taking care of her elderly mother who is battling Alzheimer’s Disease.  Lou Ann, our heroine, is smart, charming and just guarded enough to protect herself from falling in love with the wrong man, again.  Her mother is frisky, promiscuous, direct and a handful.  The characters are well developed, the story line is believable and relatable, and the book is downright funny.  I will absolutely continue to read books by this author in the future, and I highly recommend this book to others, especially those responsible for an aging parent.
