I had a lot of feelings while reading Twisted Emotions and although they weren’t always positive, I did really want to know what happened in the end.
Mafia books are good because you get to see the inner workings of the families and see characters develop. There is a lot of violence that can happen with the families. That is very much the case for this book. I definitely would say there are triggers that may not be for every reader.
ALSO, there is sexual abuse of a child in this book. I really emphasize this because the main female character goes through a lot because of her abuse. So if this at all triggers you, DO NOT READ THIS BOOK.
Cora Reilly did do a wonderful job of taking her time and describing a relationship that built on not only an arranged marriage, but on such abuse. Nino and Kiarra definitely had their ups and downs. There were very intense moments and although I shifted in my seat a few times, their love was what kept me going.
The steamy scenes are steamy and the violence is intense, but this book is worth a read if you like mafia romance.
