Book Review: Lord and Master by Kait Jagger

What’s the story- From Goodreads:

Luna Gregory has everything she needs. A dream job as personal assistant to the Marchioness of Lionsbridge, and a home on the 500-year-old Arborage Estate. But her encounter with Swedish entrepreneur Stefan Lundgren, charismatic, devastatingly attractive-and third in line to inherit the estate-leaves her irresistibly captivated. What Stefan doesn’t know is that he and Luna have met before, that he is drawn by more than just her English reserve and quiet beauty. Luna has her reasons for concealing the truth from him-she’s built an entire life for herself based on keeping the past in the past.

Stefan initiates Luna into a world of sexual exploration where they push the boundaries of pleasure and control, the ties that bind them, literally, in desire. Not content with possessing Luna physically, Stefan wants all of her. But he is keeping his own secrets, secrets that could drive them apart.

Favorite Words: “And suddenly there he was, emerging from the staircase and walking towards them, parting the crowd like Moses. If Moses were Swedish. And incredibly hot.”

Stefan started out as an asshole. Luna seemed to have a stick up her ass. That was the first impression I got of these two characters. I was getting let down and I hated that more than you could imagine.

Then about halfway through I started to warm up to them. The character development began to build and we got to see into their lives. The connection began to form and fireworks began to fly. Believe me when I say there are some sexy scenes in this book. (The scene with the silk cord. That’s all I’m going to say.) These scenes are the type you want to be drinking a dirty martini.

This is the first book in the trilogy and I will say that I have every intention of reading the next two books. I want to know what happens between Stefan and Luna because of course we are left with a cliffhanger. Why wouldn’t we be?
